Rick Stephens

Mr. Stephens is a General Partner of BainbridgeZKS Real Estate Partners LLC, an institutional real estate investment company based in San Diego and Walnut Creek, California. He has acquired over five million square feet of commercial real estate for institutional life companies and private equity clients. Mr. Stephens is the former President of Kemper Real Estate Management Company, where he managed 700 employees, 11 million square feet of commercial real estate properties, 40,000 acres of land and two home building companies. In the 1980’s Mr. Stephens was in charge of Cadillac Fairview’s Industrial Division, which had 6 million SF of industrial in the LA/Long Beach port area. At Cadillac Fairview, Mr. Stephens developed California Commerce Center at Ontario, Fontana Commerce Center, and later Mira Loma Commerce Center. His expertise includes asset management, property management and redevelopment of office, industrial, R&D, flex, retail, land, and public works projects.

Nick Chini

Mr. Chini leads asset sourcing, underwriting, due diligence and strategic planning and administration for Bainbridge Private Equity. Mr. Chini also leads new acquisitions and limited partner financing, including endowments, institutions, and family offices. In addition to his role with the General Partner, Mr. Chini sits on the board of Bainbridge, where he was previously Managing Director, leading all aspects of the firm’s corporate consulting, capital advisory and private equity business groups. Mr. Chini co-founded the Capital Advisory practice in 2002, and now leads the Private Equity practice for Bainbridge. Over his career, Mr. Chini has executed over $2 billion in mergers, acquisitions, corporate operations and divestitures for over two hundred Fortune 1000 and private equity clients. Mr. Chini has conducted mid-stream and MLP qualified real estate asset acquisition, management, and dispositions for energy, infrastructure and real estate clients.

Bill Smith

Bill Smith serves as the General Partner of Bainbridge Development Consulting Practice - a development advisory firm created to provide Clients with strategic planning and management of design, development and construction for all types of projects worldwide. Bainbridge Development Consulting provides full-scope management services including master planning, feasibility, design, construction, cost management, scheduling, branding, marketing, permits, occupancy and project closeout.

Bill formerly served as President and Chief Operating Officer of MGM MIRAGE Design Group responsible for managing the design and construction of CityCenter, a $9 billion mixed-use project located in Las Vegas, Nevada. CityCenter is an 18 million s.f. facility and includes a 4,004-room hotel, a 1,832-seat showroom, two luxury 400-room hotels, a major retail facility, 2,647 residential units, and parking for 16,800 cars. CityCenter was designed and developed in 60 months and opened to the public in December 2009.

Bill joined MGM MIRAGE Design Group in 1995 as Vice President responsible for the design and construction of Beau Rivage, a $735 million hotel/casino project located in Biloxi, Mississippi. Beau Rivage includes a 1,740-room hotel, 11 restaurants and bars, luxury retail, a 1,550-seat showroom and parking for 3,200 cars. Bill also managed the design and construction of the Spa Tower, a $435 million 928-room tower expansion to the Bellagio Hotel/Casino.

Prior to joining MGM MIRAGE Design Group, Bill served as a Partner with Rouse & Associates, responsible for the design and construction of Liberty Place, an $810 million mixed-use project in downtown Philadelphia. The project included two 60-story office buildings (Two Liberty served as the world headquarters for CIGNA Insurance), a luxury 290-room Ritz Carlton Hotel, a major retail center, and a 5-level underground parking facility.

Bill participated in two CityCenter case studies released by the Harvard Business School and served as a guest speaker at the Harvard Business School Workshop - Leading Complex Capital Projects. Bill’s new book “Creating CityCenter” has been released internationally by W.W. Norton & Company of New York City.

Bill is a graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture and is a Registered Architect and Member of the American Institute of Architects.

Frank Suryan

Mr. Suryan is a General Partner of the Bainbridge-Lyon Fund and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Lyon Capital Ventures, LLC, Lyon Management Group, Inc. and Lyon Realty Advisors, Inc. With Mr. Suryan’s leadership since 1988, Lyon has been recognized as one of the largest multi-family real estate owners/managers in Southern California, providing property management and asset management services for a United States portfolio which includes assets in Southern and Northern California, Colorado, Florida and Georgia, with an aggregate value of over $2.0 billion in various stages of development.

Mr. Suryan is a graduate of the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and is a member of the USC Marshall School of Business Board of Leaders. He is a member of the California Society and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and specialized in real estate tax and management accounting services. Mr. Suryan is a past Chairman of the Board of Directors for the California Housing Council (CHC), and served on the Board of the South Coast Apartment Association. He is a former Board Member of the National Multi-Housing Council and has served on the Board of Directors of National Water and Power and as a Member of the Executive Committee.

Orel Hershiser

rel Hershiser currently serves as Color Analyst for the Los Angeles Dodgers sports network, Sportsnet LA. For the last 8 years he worked as an Analyst for ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball, and for 18 seasons, he pitched for Major League Baseball. In 1988 Orel won the Gold Glove, Cy Young Award, and World Series MVP with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

During the 1988 season Orel pitched 59 consecutive scoreless innings; a record which he still holds today.

After retiring from Major League Baseball in 2000, Orel served as the pitching coach for the Texas Rangers and later worked in the franchise’s corporate office as their Executive Director. Orel has written two books, Out of the Blue and Between the Lines: Nine Things Baseball Taught Me About Life. Since retiring from Major League Baseball, Orel has been an invited speaker at many events and conferences.
Over the years Orel developed his real estate portfolio by acquiring multiple properties, but more recently he has focused his time and energy toward real estate investing. Orel is currently an investor and member of 55 Capital Group LLC, which manages two funds that purchase, rehab, and sell single family and multi-family homes in Southern California.

To date the funds have purchased and sold over $13,200,000 in real estate.
Orel also serves as co-manager of Red Rock 55, LLC, a fund that maintains a buy and hold strategy for the purchase of single family homes, in the Las Vegas Valley. Red Rock 55 fund, has $9,500,000 in assets at present. Additionally, he and his partners have established The Hershiser Income Fund I and II which have placed over $49.200,000 in first trust deed loans in the first fifteen months of existence. Other businesses in Orel’s portfolio include co-ownership of an escrow company, and a real estate agent referral marketing company.

Doug Lawrence

Mr. Lawrence is a General Partner of Bainbridge-5 Stone and is Founder and Managing Principal of 5 Stone Green Capital, a smart technology/green technology driven commercial real estate investment group. He has more than 27 years of distinguished real estate industry experience. Prior to forming 5 Stone Green Capital, he spent 12 years at JPMorgan. He was a Managing Director wherein he served as a trusted investment advisor and fiduciary to many large U.S. pension plans.

He was Managing Director and Co-Portfolio Manager of the JPMorgan Urban Renaissance Property Fund, a smart technology/green technology driven commercial real estate investment vehicle. As a senior member of the Asset Management Team, he ran a large portfolio of industrial, office, multi-family and retail assets valued in excess of $1 billion and totalling more than 5 million square feet. In that capacity, he managed a large external complement of property management firms and staff. His strength as an asset manager earned 9 international and national awards from the real estate industry’s leading professional associations - BOMA, IREM and NAIOP. Prior to JPMorgan, Mr. Lawrence spent 7 years with TIAA-CREF’s $220 billion real estate investment portfolio wherein he managed many of its flagship investments such as the iconic Seagram Building in New York City.

Mr. Lawrence received his BA from Yale University and his MBA from the University of Connecticut in International Business Finance. He sits on the Investment Committee, the Real Estate Committee and the Natural Resources Committee of the University of Connecticut Foundation. Michael Gallegos

Michael Gallegos is a General Partner of Bainbridge-PPH and President and CEO of Pacific Pearl Hotels, LLC (PPH). PPH is based in San Diego, California and Albuquerque, New Mexico and is one of the nation’s largest independent hotel companies. Since its inception, PPH has acquired over $3 billion of hotels and resorts throughout the U.S. Spain, and Mexico. Michael Gallegos earned his Bachelors Degree from the University of New Mexico. While at UNM, he was elected Student Body President in 1982-83. Mr. Gallegos began his career in hotels as a parking lot attendant at the age of eleven. He currently maintains a professional certification as a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA). Lewis Jones

Mr. Jones is a General Partner of Bainbridge-5 Stone and Founder and Managing Principal of 5 Stone Green Capital, a smart technology/green technology driven commercial real estate investment vehicle. Prior to forming 5 Stone Green Capital, Mr. Jones spent 22 years at JPMorgan Chase in a number of significant roles. Carlos Arias

A seasoned business manager, engineer, and consultant, Carlos has led the Bainbridge Investments organization to continued growth and success since 2001. Carlos supports client initiatives through strategic leadership and business development, and specializes in supply chain optimization, process reengineering, technology analysis and implementation, and mergers and acquisitions. He has spearheaded the Bainbridge Internal Excellence Initiative which has taken client satisfaction and results to new levels of performance in the investment banking and consulting markets.
Carlos attained a Master of Business Administration from Columbia University and dual Bachelors of Science degrees, in Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering from Lehigh University.
